ENGLISH: We welcomed this year’s 1st of May on very extraordinary terrain. The beyond beautiful Althoff Hotel Villa Belrose is located very close to small but exquisit Saint-Tropez, a place we already fell in love with in the past year. I could praise it to the skies because it’s simply a dream of a hotel. Even up to now, I didn’t realize the entire beauty of the hotel, the dreamy view and the wonderful atmosphere. The breakfast was literally incredible, the service just on point and the location speaks for itself. 🙂
THE ROOM
ENGLISH: On our arrival, the kind and very obliging hotel team welcomed us and walked us to the hotels terrace with a stunning view on the azure blue sea that beautifully glimmered by the sun. We enjoyed this view with a glas of rosé whilst we were checked in. After that, we got a quick tour of the hotel before we reached our room which was stylishly furnished, my marble-dream-bathroom with mirrored doors included. On top of that we enjoyed our welcome gifts (a fruit plate and a bottle of a house rosé wine) on our balcony before we relaxed at the pool area for the rest of the day.
THE VILLA
BREAKFAST WITH A VIEW
ENGLISH: Breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day, but in this case, I was extra excited. The reason for that is obviously the heavenly view from the terrace but also the excitement for delicious juices, good coffee and delicate food. It’s safe to say that my expectations were high and they were definitely excelled. Marc loved the combination of parma ham and housemade pesto but also the Bircher muesli that he topped with fruits, while I tasted different cheeses and had the agony of choice between waffles, crêpes and pancakes afterwards.
LUNCHTIME
ENGLISH: The following day, we were invited to lunch at the pool restaurant. I chose the Caesar salad and Marc took the risotto. Both dishes were very delicious and a pleasurable occasion to enjoy the picturesque view once more. The menu card of the pool restaurant is also the room service card and has just the right amount of dishes for every sort of appetite. This is why we decided to order some desserts in the evening. They were obviously made in the same kitchen that also cooks for the hotel’s one-starred gourmet restaurant Le Belrose and a luscious ending for this dreamish trip.
