The Oscar for the most beautiful drink in 2020 goes to… dalgona coffee! In this case, I’d like to celebrate the matcha dalgona version which basically tastes like matcha ice cream (sounds good, heh?). So if you’re up for that, here’s how to make it:
60 ml whipping cream
1-2 tsp sugar
1-2 tsp matcha
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Add cold whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract into a bowl and whip until soft and creamy but not too stiff.
- Add matcha and continue to whisk until you get a firm but soft foam.
- Put some ice cubes into a glass and fill in oat milk (or whatever you prefer) but leave some space for your cream.
- With a tablespoon, add your matcha cream little by little on top, sprinkle some matcha powder on top and enjoy with a straw.
